Woman Killed After Being Struck by Bus While Retrieving Item in Adelaide CBD
A woman has died after being struck by a bus in Adelaide’s central business district on Wednesday afternoon, April 1, 2026.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of King William Road and Victoria Drive about 5:00 pm following reports that a pedestrian had been hit. The 39-year-old woman, a resident of North Adelaide, tragically died at the scene despite the efforts of first responders.
According to South Australia Police (SAPOL), investigators believe the woman had entered the roadway to retrieve a personal item shortly before the collision occurred.

Roads Closed During Investigation
