Motorcyclist Dies After Crash in South West Rocks on NSW Mid North Coast
A motorcycle rider has died after a crash on the NSW Mid North Coast on Sunday afternoon, April 5, 2026.
Emergency services were called to Gregory Street, near Spencers Creek Road in South West Rocks, about 5:00 pm following reports of a serious collision.
Officers from the Mid North Coast Police District and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command arrived to find that a rider had crashed on the road before becoming trapped underneath a nearby vehicle.
NSW Police confirmed that emergency crews worked to free the rider, who was then treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for critical injuries. Despite their efforts, the man died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

Investigation Underway
A crime scene has been established, and specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an inquiry into the cause of the incident.
Gregory Street remains closed in both directions between North Street and Phillip Drive. Authorities have urged the public to avoid the area and to monitor LiveTraffic.com for the latest updates on road closures and diversions.
